Comin' Home featuring blues, R&B, R&R, Jazz and original music.
"Larry has been playing since the late sixties having been swept up by the "British Pop Invasion ". His Southern California high school rock band was lucky enough to get some opening act slots for some national acts in 1968 and he has been hammering away ever since. Larry relocated to Phoenix in the early seventies and he has been both a sideman and frontman for bands like Katmandu, The Jack Alves Band, Nina Sutton and Blue Flame, The Amazing Desert Sharks, Terraplane Station and others. Rooted in the great tradition of solid American music Larry is grateful for the opportunity to work with the outstanding veteran lineup of "Comin' Home".
Drummer and vocalist, Morry Shapiro has been playing music professionally for over 50 years. His first pro gig was at 15, leading his own band at a renown midwestern resort, being driven there by his bandmate's mom. Morry's career has included studio work, touring, crafting original music, and leading his own trio in Chicago with multiple bookings years in advance. Morry is fluent in blues, jazz, rock, pop, funk and fusion music, and he loves versatility and adaptability as a drummer. His focus is always on a solid foundation, a strong groove and the joy of playing live. The quartet, "Commin' Home," is Morry's most exciting project to date, giving him the chance, along with his bandmates, to bring his passion and creativity to all those who enjoy exciting live music.
